- Educated to A Level or equivalent standard
- Experience in a similar role
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong technical skills and experience of database structures and languages like SQL, plus ideally software systems like Power BI and SSRS
- Robust analytical skills with the ability to explain findings to a range of audiences
About the role…
As the Business Intelligence Officer, you will capture, process and analyse data relating to services the Council delivers and commissions, including the maintenance and improvement of processes regarding data flow and quality. Other duties include:
- manage the coordination, quality assurance and submission of statutory and non-statutory data returns
- use and develop new business intelligence solutions, including interactive dashboards
- analyse and interpret complex information, presenting findings to a range of audiences using visualisation and other techniques
Whilst the base for the Business Intelligence Officer is at our offices in Oakham, the local authority offers a hybrid working practice, so will suit someone who will be able to work from home with occasional travel to the main office.
The Business Intelligence Officer interviews will be held during June, we will be reviewing applications on a regular basis and inviting those who meet our essential person specification criteria to interview. If you’re interested in this role, we strongly encourage you to apply without delay.
