About the roles: 

With significant change management underway, including Local Government Reorganisation (LGR), Operation Legacy and major corporate change initiatives, now is the perfect time to join the team. 

Working alongside senior leaders, project service leads and partners across the Council, you'll help drive programmes and projects from concept through to delivery. You'll play a key role in ensuring projects are well governed, effectively managed and deliver meaningful outcomes for our residents and communities. 

As the Project Manager/Project Officer your duties will include: 

  • Support and lead projects that contribute to the future shape of local government 
  • Work across multiple programmes and workstreams simultaneously 
  • Coordinate project plans, risks, actions and reporting 
  • Build positive relationships with stakeholders across the organisation 
  • Support governance boards and decision-making processes 
  • Help ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope and to a high standard 
  • Contribute to developing a strong and sustainable project management culture across the Council 

About you: 

Depending on your experience and capability, you will join the team as either a Project Officer or Project Manager, with a supported development pathway through our career-grade framework.
