Salary: £29,636 - £31,371

The Highways Team at Rutland are looking for a Development Control Engineer who is conscientious, self-motivated and able to motivate people around them, and wants to join a team of experts who will support and encourage professional development. This is a great opportunity to work within a delivery-focussed unitary authority!
Who you are…
- Qualified to BTech HNC (Civil Engineering)
- Experienced in processing highways planning applications
- Excellent numerical skills and able to prepare Bills of Quantities and undertake site measurements
- Effective communicator with the ability to engage with individuals at all levels
- Experience of working with contractors and developers
- Able to develop innovative concepts
- Able to deputise for the Senior Highways Manager when required.
As an integral member of the team you will be required to work as part of a standby rota responding to emergencies, attending public meetings and assisting the team with all other queries associated with Rutland highways. No two days are ever the same!
